A silver plate rope edged  bar tray with engine turned center.  This super quality and very rare nautical inspired piece is the perfect bar tray for a cocktail shaker and group of Martini or cocktail glasses to sit.  This is the perfect piece for the beach house bar, but can also comfortably sit in the most modern of environments. 

This was part of a group of pieces designed by Hermès using this rope edge designed.  This ranged from magnifying glasses to a selection of bottle openers and bar and home focused accessories.  Hermès main focus was usually equestrian and nautical, with this group falling into the latter.

The tray was not made by the French manufacturers Ravinet D'Enfert for Hermès.  This is quite unusual since they were the makers of choice for almost every piece of homeware from this period.  They are yet to be identified.

The piece is fully singed on the side of the back of the last frame, along with the poinçon makers mark.  The quality and feel is of what has come to be expected of the brand, and the condition is excellent throughout.  Made in France, circa 1960's.
